Beach Front Hotel Stay in Mirbat Oman for OMR 10 – 12

On the long weekend (5th to 7th May 2016), we decided to go for a beach holiday within Oman. The beach of Mirbat Oman was our choice. Why? Read MIRBAT OMAN Guide

Mirbat Oman (مرباط ، عمان) is a fishing town some 75 kilometers East of Salalah and is one of the ten wilayats of Dhofar Governorate. The beaches are just awesome and are comparable to any good beach in the world.

Just after reaching Mirbat, we saw the pristine beach from the road and decided to stay nearby.

Luckily we found a place to stay just on the left side from this road.

Beach House is a very nice place to stay for a short holiday. The room comes with a balcony. Although walls are not pretty clean, but its manageable. The room has a bed, two sofas, a wall painting, a wall clock (which didn’t show the right time), a mirror, window AC and a TV. Wifi was available.

The bathroom was clean and toiletries (soap, shampoo) were provided. Toilet tissues were not present.

The best part of the room is the stunning views of the Indian ocean both from the balcony and from the window of the room.

Just a 5 minutes walk will lead to the pristine white sand beach, which is perfect for a beach holiday. Watch the sunrise video at the beach.

Where to Eat?

There are plenty of restaurants nearby along the corniche just 2 – 3 minutes drive away. Also Beach House provided us a menu for getting foods delivered to the Beach House.

How to Book Beach House, Mirbat Oman?

Call the numbers mentioned on the board of Beach House (photograph above) or check for the care taker present there when you reach. He asked for OMR 12 per night for us on the long weekend (when more tourists were expected). We negotiated for OMR 10. There is no fixed check in and check out time, so its also negotiable. You have to pay cash in advance and no bill will be provided against the payment.

The caretaker will keep the Resident card with him, from check in till you check out.

Are there other Options to stay in Mirbat Oman?

Along the same road of Beach House, there is Al-Mouj (OMR 12) and Dream Inn (Didn’t check). See the photographs and contact numbers below:

But these do not have Balcony coming with the room plus no direct access from the parked vehicle.

In addition to these, there are many villas and houses for rent also, which can be found by having a drive across the town. One can also stay in Salalah and visit Mirbat as a day tour.
